The weather is going to play another major role in fishing today. The rain is expected to continued and the winds are suppose to be blowing at 15 to 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 35 mph. This is expected to last until at least sunset and possible until 10 p.m.

Still time to stop by and do some Christmas shopping. Check out our selection of handbags and jewelry.

The rain yesterday slowed the fishing down again. Today is the first of December and Heath Lake is open for the next 10 days. Hopefully the fishing will be good.

A reminder to those going to Health Lake, parking permits still need to be purchased at the main entrance. The parking permit machine at Heath Lake is still not working. Neither is the one at the beach entrance. Parking is $3 per vehicle.

Less than a month before Christmas. Stop by to see the gift items we have.

Thanksgiving holidays are over, hope everyone had a safe and happy Thanksgiving. The rain is back and fishing will be slow.

Stop by the store to see the gift items we have - jewelry, belts, wallets, dinnerware, leather Bible covers and much more.

Be sure and check out the two fish brought by the store Saturday. Both were very good catches.

Good news on the fishing front yesterday.

Tony Duncan (right) caught a 12 pound 11 ounce hybrid bass in the West Antioch Lake fishing from a boat. He was using a spoon as bait.

Later in the day, Wesley Woods (below)  brought a 6 pound 14 ounces bass by that he had also caught in the West Antioch Lake. He was also fishing in a boat, but was using an artificial green-pumpkin seed worm.

These were the only two fishermen that came through saying they had caught anything.

We are closed today (Sunday, Nov. 29) in order to celebrate Thanksgiving with our family. Sorry for any inconvenience, but hope you're enjoying the holiday with your family as well. We will re-open in the morning (Monday,  Nov. 30) at 7:30 a.m.
